Without knowing the nursery or anything of its history or current circumstances, it seems to me ineffably sad that such a business should have to close for financial reasons in what is still a world in recession, in spite of what those who want us to spend, keep on telling us. So many people out of work, so many families affected badly. Similar (but much smaller) nurseries here are affected likewise, let alone those which have had to close in the last 10 years or so because of govt policy on new plant introductions. We have to eat so the supermarkets continue to flourish and we have to cloth ourselves so can still buy garments, though at discounts up to 50 or more percent at present. Plants, which clothe our gardens but feed our souls, are unfortunately dispensable. Gradually we all become poorer and poorer because of this.
