Vaccinium (oxycoccos 'Compacta') 'Hamilton'
« on: July 15, 2010, 07:48:50 AM »
I have grown a nice compact cranberry for more than 15 years, but I can't find any information about it on the net or on databases. It is not uncommon in Scandinavian gardens, but I would like to know if it is known in other places or if I have it under a wrong namn?

Itīs a small world , Owe! (Few of you know - but we are work mates ;D) I grow that one as Vaccinium macrocarpon 'Hamilton'. A great little favorite. Tidy, compact, bright green.

No, this is the first major flowering for more than five years. I don't know if that is typical or if it is because I grow it dryer than cranberries prefer.
