What's the diffrent between M. sieboldii and subsp. sinensis?
We grow all our M. sieboldii from seeds in the nursery. No problem with the seeds to germinate.

Uli,
Pendant flowers, are the main thing, but it looks alot nicer than a M.wilsonii.
Alot of the plants in commerce are incorrectly labelled.

Here is a link with a photo of "Magnolia sieboldii" from the nursery I work. When we have the subsp sinensis so I can send you seeds (fresh in autumn) or seedlings.
We collected every year from our own magnolia, but I thin there where Hybrids with the other species, like M. wilsonii
