Unknown plant from Afghanistan

I would be glad if there will be some help in identification (I have no idea - even not for the family)

At first look something like Solanaceae. At least flowers like potato?

I see that lots of people are looking at th is page and yet no ideas being given..... I have to say that I have no idea at all.

I got no further than agreeing with the resemblance to Solanum flowers

I was thinking that the 'beak' reminded me of borage so I've just been flicking through Masha Bennett's Pulmonarias and the Borage Family and there is a photo of Trichodesma boissieri that certainly looks similar but I can't find a pic of the foliage to compare.

I think you may be on the right track, Gail. Trichodesma do have opposite leaves like the one shown.
