Digressions from Mid Anglia bulb sale 2010
« on: July 19, 2010, 10:50:13 PM »
Mark, are you still here? Could you please have a quick look at the July 2010 in the Southern Hemisphere thread and give an opninion on a couiple of Galanthus posted today. Ta.
I've dropped a message to Mark and Martin, Lesley..... I can't bear to see the suffering!

Thanks Maggi. Yes, suffering as I didn't sleep much last night. Yesterday I had a phone call from my employer - the Chair of the Trust which employs me - that I would receive a letter today and he didn't wan't me to read it and be shocked, without prior warning. Told me also that my job was changing and I wasn't to take anything said as "personal against me." He sounded intensely uncomfortable during the whole phone call, so I await the letter in today's post with anticipation but no pleasure. I note that in a shakeup of our employment law and a nasty makeover announced by the PM at the weekend, it is still to be illegal to dismiss staff on the grounds of age.

Sounds ominous Lesley.  Do hope that things turn out better than expected for you though.

LucG will draw your attention I'm sure.

See you on Sunday.

Watching some TV coverage of the cycling Eneco Tour today, admiring the neat hedges and green gardens in Belgium I spotted a chap at the side of the road holding a big sign that had ' LUC 'written on it in large colourful letters.... I thought is might be one of "our" two Lucs.....  getting in some practice to meet Chloe!

Maggie my partner won't let play any of my smiths cd's in the house so they are only played in the greenhouse now and the plants have never complained, yet.

I do indeed like the Stone Roses Dave but could never get into the Smiths. they make me feel suicidal (much like the weather really ;D  )

The BD makes a plea for clemency on the part of the Smiths' guitarist, who it seems he rates quite highly.....

Davey, many plants have a very high survival instinct, this is why there is no complaint... it doesn't mean they're not suffering!  ;D ;D

David that's what everybody(when i say everybody i mean my family) says to me about the smiths when they hear there songs,i can remember as a kid my parents asking me if everything was ok because i played them all the time, and they must of heard the lyrics, lol bless them.
Yes Maggie Jonny Marr is a legend with the guitar,BD has very good taste.
