Luit, I think the plant you have called Hypericum is Helianthemum lunulatum- it looks very much  like a Hypericum  ;)

I realized yesterday that I did not show more pictures of Dawyck Bot. Garden.
Despite the rain I made some and of trees/shrubs as well, but these I'll show in the Trees in parks and gardens 2010
thread.

Dawyck Bot. G.
Dawyck Crocus
Dawyck Rodgersia nepalensis     very different leaves in the genus, never seen before.
Dawyck moss
in this garden there must be a high humidity.
Dawyck moss 2

Here comes the next puzzle question.
From Pershore we travelled further to Taunton, N. Devon where we the next morning drove through a
very special landscape. The weather was windy and cold but dry.

That would be Exmoor then?  Lorna Doone country isn't it and Daphne Du Maurier's?

Brian, you must almost think that we made a literature tour through England, from Bronte land to Daphne du Maurier and then (not so far from here as well) on to Agatha Christie. But it is more by chance that we passed these places.
However, as we were some days later rather close to the place where Agatha lived, Vroni wanted to see the house but when arriving only pre-booked cars were allowed to drive in, so we leaved without seeing even a single brick of the building, only hollow roads    ::) ::)

some more pics from most impressive Exmoor:

Here is the next picture, still in Devon but near the sea. I think this bridge in a lovely small town
is enough to know where it is?

I'm struggling now Luit, it may be over to the locals, we Grockels haven't the knowledge although it does remind me of Bideford where some friends lived in the 1980s, it's such a long time ago I am probably wrong!

Luit,
Is it the Shaldon bridge which connects Shaldon and Teignmouth?

Graham, I'm afraid that is far more South. You were possibly mislead by the home of Agatha Christie, but that was several days later.
A good try though!

Sorry Brian, I found Graham's try first and answered a bit earlier.
Had to google the word "Grockel" first. Devonian term for anyone from outside Devon, particularly Tourists Good to know the next time  :o :o

But Bideford is the place where we have been. Were very impressed seeing the boats lying on sand and not in the water.
Some pictures to follow later.
