Bideford is not too far away from a well known and hopefully nice garden and as it was early in the afternoon we decided to give it a try. Well, we were not disappointed and made lots of pictures.

Luit, I recognise the house. I know I've been there. I've even got pictures of the gardens. The name that's coming to mind is 'The Garden House' but I'm not convinced.

a fun thread, luit! some of the gardens are lovely, but most interesting to me are the views of the ancient british towns with narrow streets--those are the most exotic to this part of the world!
some of the cows and hayfields could be just up the road from me!

It's not The Garden House Martin, but I understand your confusion. This garden was donated to the RHS by a Lady.
Now that will make it MUCH easier  ;D

We spent several hours in this garden. It has a wonderful layout.
