Many congratulations, Maggi.  I was disappointed not to be able to get to the AGM and am even more disappointed now to learn what I missed (including a bit of Ian's birthday cake).

Heartiest of congratulations dear, dear Maggi. This must be the best news to come out of an AGM and every Forumist will be delighted and pleased for you. No-one ever was more worthy.

Goodness me, what an avalanche of good wishes........ I'm very happily overwhelmed, my heartfelt thanks to all of you.

I am very proud to join the little group of nine other Honorary Vice Presidents of the Club and hope to be as good an ambassador in this capacity as they have been.

There may yet be some way to go to convince everyone of the worth of the website in not only bringing together the existing world wide membership of the club but also its capacity to generate new members, and new younger members ( ;) ) in the "modern world" but I have faith that this community can hang in there and show the way and it is wonderful that the SRGC has recognised the website via this award to me.

I was completely taken by surprise by the announcement at the AGM, hence my impression in Ian's photo, of a fish gasping for airt, and I have to  say, I was worried about the "vice" part.... I'm a bit past a life of drink and gambling, really..... ;)

I hope I'll be around to harry you all and serve the Club, for a long time to come.

Many, many thanks to the SRGC for the honour and to all of you for your wonderful words of support and congratulations, here and by message.
