Bulbs of Greece
« on: December 06, 2010, 05:39:42 PM »
Has anyone seen the recent AGS publication, A Field Guide to the Bulbs of Greece by Chris Grey Wilson. If you have, what do you think of it? Would you recommend it?

What a coincidence Gerry. I was looking at the book on Amazon today. There isn't a review

I bought the book at the AGS bookstall.
Lots of excellent photos and brief botanical descriptions of each plant.
I can recommend the book if you have an interest in bulbs & orchids.

Like Luc I bought the book from AGS (on line). If you saw AGS's "Bulbous plants of Turkey and Iran", you know the principle. But the one about Greece being as generously illustrated has better printing quality. I enjoy every page although half of the plants described are not hardy here.

I have it and find it both useful and interesting.
