Wow, Giles, your shots really show the scale of the new crevice garden... it is quite some size.
I'm intrigued by the possibility that those cunning folk at Wisley are planning to make a genuine ice-house with those blocks of ice.... is there no innovation those folks won't try?
Brave of that erigeron to have some flowers at this time, it must have felt the bulbs were outdoing it!

I think it was a bit of on the spot creativity, rather than anything else. Some of the blocks were just dumped in a heap.
