Yesterday I was given a copy of the Little Hostas book - thanks David!
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Book-Little-Hostas-Small-Varieties/dp/1604690607/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1293813563&sr=8-1
It's not a good book for those addicted to miniature Hostas. This book is the equivelant of when the Snowdrop book was released - people went crazy with big wants lists. I've now made a wants list of 43
When I saw Lakeside Zing Zang it was lust at first sight. I cant find any suppliers in the UK. Does anyone grow it?

Mark it looks a wonderful book on the Amazon preview. I tried to see your 'Lakeside Zing Zang' on page 152 but most pages of pictures are not included in the preview. Without breaching copyright would it be possible for you to show that one please?

Lesley I'll take a photo tomorrow
The book says
white to creamy white leaves with numerous dark green flecks and blotches. Leaves 4x2cm. Best in a pot. Difficult to grow without the exact amount of beneficial light.
I assume the difficulty is because the leaf is mostly white.
Lesley if you have a growing interest in miniature Hostas this is a great book
This is my lust list
Alakazaam, Apple Court, Blue Mouse Ears Supreme, Carrie Ann, Crepe Suzette, Dew Drop,Dixie Chickadee
Fireworks, Gaijin, Grand Prize, Green eyes, Hi Ho Silver, Iced Lemon, Imp, Island Charm, Lakeside Baby Face
Lakeside Cricket, Lakeside Cup Cake, Lakeside Dimpled Darling, Lakeside Dragonfly, Lakeside Little Tuft

The white would make it difficult certainly. There wqas one I saw a few years ago, and maybe it was raised here by Bill Robertson in Rotorua, though maybe not. It was called 'Peppermint Stick' I think and was entirely white except for finest green veining. Bill said it was very difficult to get it growing well.

My copy of the little Hostas book arrived today. I ordered it from the AGS bookshop at the end of October as a pre publication offer. I was beginning to think it had got lost. I have not had time to look at it yet.

Hi Mark,
Try Hostajeff on Ebay as a possible source. I have just bought some minis from him as he has a good range at a good price. Don't know if he has what you're after, but he does have others Hostas in the Lakeside series, so will probably be worth asking him.
I've bought H. 'Blue Mouse Ears' from him, to give you something to find him by.
It isn't much of a help, but may get you somewhere.

Hi Mark,
My parcel came today from Hostajeff (Hutton Hostas). Five really good EX pot young plants. Lots of root and in perfect condition. No Zing Zang in the catalogue, but Jeff may have some lurking possibly. info@huttonhostas.com.
Best of luck.
He does list Alakazam, Blue Mouse Ears (Not Supreme though), Dew Drop, Dixie Chick (Not Dixie Chickadee though), Fireworks, Green Eyes, Hi Ho Silver, Iced Lemon, Imp, Island Charm, Lakesdie Baby Face, Lakeside Dragonfly, Lakeside Little Tuft, Little Jay, The unfortunately named Little Stiffy, Little Treasure, Paradise On Fire, Silver Threads and Golden Needles and Teeny Weeny Bikini from your list, as well as a good number of other minis.
Hope this helps,
Lewis

I could well be the Greedy Wee Scotsman equivolent Maggi - but mine would be in a specialist nursery.
I'm happy to be blamed Mark. I am easily persuaded to buy interesting bits too. Glad you're happy with the plants Mark, I can see myself buying more from Jeff SOON!
The madness continues.
