Thanks everyone; I guess I'm back to being a weekend garden warrior.  Thankfully I made good use of my freedom from work last year (2010) and hybridized the hey out of the epimediums, and sowed approximately 45 flats of seed. Starting yesterday, they are germinating like crazy. No sign of germination yet on a dozen flats of Iris cristata forms and Jeffersonia (attempted hybrids), but it is early yet.  On the weekends I'll have to shift gears from running to marathon-sod-removal to make space for what might be several thousand seedlings.

ps: I have pinned my workplace location.

Boston is a great city, I really like to visit, the problem is traffic can be (usually is) terrible.  Finding parking is the worst, and very expensive.  Tomorrow I'm heading down to an architectural firm in Providence, Rhode Island... the new week begins.

Mark I wish you the very best for your new job and that it is everything you could hope for and that it is PERMANENT - or for as long as you want it. But I also hope you will have time to post on the Forum especially when your wonderful irises are out, the cristatss rossii and the others in that thread. :D

Thanks Angie and Lesley.  It's not going to be easy, I'm on an intensive training cycle, and for at least 2 months it will mean lots of "homework" to learn enough to achieve certain certifications.  But as time allows on weekends, I'll do my best to capture some good photos. :D

Hey folks you should have seen the sight I saw today. I haven't seen anything like it before. I stopped of at Ian and Maggi's garden today and I have never seen their garden look so good. I also have never seen so much plants in flower all at once. The ground was just covered, my eyes couldn't take everything in but all I can say is it was a sight that I will remember for a long time.
Wish everyone could have seen it today as it was so amazing.

Oh, Angela, that's really nice of you to say that. Thank you!  :-*

You must have had a lot of sunshine because I have never seen so much in flower at once.
Amazing sight.

Look in Ian's Bulb Log, Maren... there are always garden shots there and there will be more in the newest diary, online later today!

Maren never had a camera but to be honest nothing would have done it justice. I am so lucky to have seen it at this time.
