David, press the arrow next to Released.  A new window will open ... allow a minute to load then it should start automatically.
Try other songs on You-Tube please ... he is excellent.

I must share my cloud nine in plant world. Today I revisited an elderly lady who has some very old rose plants in her garden - they were huge plants when she bought the place in 1956. The rose that is extra special we call "Mrs Good's Special Tea" - it covers an area of at least 6m x 3m where stems have hit ground and rooted. This particular Tea rose hasn't been found anywhere else in Australia and we believe it may be 'Marquise de Vivens' from 1885 from Dubreuil. A  plant is now in France and from there it will possibly then journey to the US. Mrs Good has been given some photocopies of articles that mention her rose and she rang the other day to say that the rose was in flower.

What a wonderful find Pat and how exciting if it is the "real thing" and can be re-introduced to its country of origin then elsewhere.

I wish someone would discover a second Beethoven Violin Concerto.

In this morning's post, an envelope containing a little Salvia seed, from Chris Boulby. Thanks so much Chris, I'll get it sown this afternoon with some others that have been accumulatimng. However, what makes me really happy is this delightful card which enclosed the seed, and painted by Chris herself. It is a little gem and one I'll keep always among the small treasures that I have gathered up over very many years. It is Narcissus tazetta ssp lacticolor. I'm thrilled to have this Chris.

We must get happier. The Moans have 46 pages and the Happies are behind. Think of something that makes you, and maybe us, happy and tell us about it. I noticed today all my Cymbidiums that were oversummered in the garden, are showing shoots that will develop into flower spikes, probably some by Christmas. That warms the cockles of my heart. :) :) :)

This came as seed of a bulb from the seed exchange. I would never have thought that I could grow an auricula - but here is "proof in the pudding". I have never really 'looked' at Auriculas as I had dismissed them as too hard here, so now with this success I am thinking what others should I try. Any name for this one?

I was given two small Liriodendron tulipifera in pots and they got a touch of heat stroke, but both are now resprouting beautifully. And my Miniature Bulbs narcissi-to-Newcastle order arrived today. So I'm happy!  :D

After almost a year unemployed I have a new job. No start date yet. It's basically a shelf stacker for Asda but they encourage people to quickly become supervisors

This came as seed of a bulb from the seed exchange.............

Pat, was that a typo, Auriculas (Primulas) ain't bulbous. If the seed came from a named Auricula then your plant is going to be ever so slightly different as they don't come true from seed. You can give it any name you like, what about 'Little Miss Sunshine' ;D
