This is the Website of the Royal Botanical Gardens Canada :
http://www.rbg.ca/Page.aspx?pid=193

The RBGC is in Burlington, Ontario and this, and nearby Hamilton, where Carlo and Sharon are living, are at the western end of Lake Ontario, to give you an idea of the location.... 8)

Actually the garden and its natural areas (a total of 2700 acres [250 cultivated] and included in the Niagara Escarpment Biosphere Reserve), straddles the borders of Hamilton AND Burlington, which both claim it as a treasured gem.

How about that! Already an ambassador....

www.Dandytopsoil.co.uk Thanks to Daveyp who gave links to a couple of suppliers in another thread. Base in N Wales. Do deliver Nationwide but cost is a function of post code. If you go to the site you can put in your post code and it will calculate the appropriate price for any product you look at. They have offers on till the end of March, so don't delay.

I've shifted them all to the back of the house now and I'm knackered!

Many thanks Martin-it would be £111.87 to here (ie. the end of the known world!)

Try putting in a west highland post code! Mind you £111.87 will still be a whole lot cheaper than your local garden centre

Crikey, I just did, no discriminaton here! Same price to Devon, Aberdeen, Skye and Stornoway. I don't believe it, I suspect the calculator can't cope with ferry crossings. I'll now go and check the small print.

Makes Ian's deal with a borrowed lorry for the four tonnes of sand and grit for around £40  seem rather good doesn't it?
.......mind you, I'm only just straightening up....  :-X

It does indeed! Dandys is even cheaper for big bags or even dumped loose loads but I have to say the 25kg bags are more convenient....means you only break your back a little at a time ::)

That would be the near end David? I think there is another David at the far end?
