..........He tells me that the "Yorkists" can take this rather seriously and try to overturn the original outcome of the Battle of Bosworth. The Stanleys had the right idea, they hung around the outside of the battle and joined the Lancastrians when they saw they were winning. Not the noblest of actions but very sensible!

I'd expect any Yorkshireman worth his salt to give that a try, they're probably thinking that one day they'll crack it!Interestingly there's a village called Stanley just outside Wakefield. Can't find any reference to the Stanley family in it's history though. The name is thought to be of Danish origin stan=stone and lean=meadow
