Great Christmas present, reminds me of sending Christmas Puddings to a friend in Kathmandu many years ago, they also travelled with instant Bird's custard ;D

My sister also sent us a Tiptree Christmas pud, and I managed to get Tiptree brandy butter in Countdown. Couldn't find rum sauce and have yet to venture into one of these liquor stores to buy anything stronger than wine or beer.

You've got time on your hands because you're not cooking today Angie. I've got time on my hands because it's now tomorrow (Boxing Day) here. Banks and shops will be open - they were only closed on Christmas Day - even the banks, which open (until 4 p.m.) seven days a week, except Thursdays and Fridays, when they open 'til 7 p.m.!

I seem to have an excess of little sausages wrapped in bacon...  pigs in blankets ,I think they are often called!

If you can be round here in half an hour you may beat the dogs to them!

Maggie, I just had this for breakfast! Together with bagles, bacon, eggs and coffee! It was a late breakfast because the three grandchildren had to unwrap the gifts first.

It was great!

Lina, that is my idea of a GOOD breakfast!

Are the little girls having a wonderful day?

Since we eat lunch early I'm finding that I am getting hungry again now.... perhaps there will  be no extra sausages after all. :-[ ;D

 Merry Christmas!

Yes, they are having a great day! I would post a picture, but the browse function does not open and I don't understand, why. Yesterday the oldest one ( she is 4) has put homemade cookies and milk at the fireplace. And we were not allowed to burn a fire ofcourse. As I am in
The States now, it is great to be part of this. In The Netherlands we have a tradition of celebrating Sinterklaas, which is the 5th of december.

Oh, Lina! There are so far from you.... it is even better that you can be with them at this happy time.
Must be hard to be so many miles from those little sweeties most of the time. Do you use Sykpe and web cams to keep in touch wityh how they are? When they are so  small the changes that happen as they grow so fast would be so awful not to enjoy.

Yes, it is hard. Maren is 4 and the twins, Sophie and Charlotte are 1,5 years old. We use facetime with the iPad, and this works fantastic for us. Maren already is very good with the iPad. Children just do it and don't ask questions, why. It is amazing.
