Brings the sunshine in the house Tony ! And we could use some sunshine ....
For me a rather unknown species, but I like the colour. Do you know wich part of Turkey ? Any chance this is a hardy Crocus ?

Dear Croconuts,

Here in Belgium we had a lot of snow, but now is temperature rising. Still no crocuses in flower.
Yesterday got email version of Janis catalogue. This is real Crocus year for Janis - his book (not received yet) and now catalogue.
Last year it seemed that his  catalogue was unsurpassable, but this one is even better. Even if only Crocus x paulinae would be offered, it will be "vow". But here are plenty of others, not only crocuses.
You can ask him copy by e-mail janis.bulb@hawk.lv

Dirk, very good form and photo. I'm afraid that my first entry will be only in April. Snow amount is so huge, that municipalities tractors yesterday failed to clean my road. Now I'm reaching by car my neighbor (2.5 km) and he brings me by snow-motocycle to nursery and in afternoon back to my car. Hope that next week will come more serious technique.

My first one for this year had to be brought inside to open, but it was worthwhile !

One that Janis will only see in his nursery in April...  ;D

Kris if you google Silifke you will see it is a couple of hundred kilometres east of Antalya and the crocus grows in the mountains behind. It is very hardy.

Good specimen Luc. Pity that around Akseki only small percentage of isauricus has black connectives on anthers. The populations are variable there. In some places plants with black connectives dominate, in some there are 50/50 but in some black anthered plants are only very very few.
