Here is a photo of Amana erythronioides seedlings that just germinated a week ago. I sowed the seeds July 13th, 2022. I found a note on the tag saying that I sowed about 40 seeds but only 15 of them looked good enough to germinate... Seems they did better than I expected!

Before we went on holidays in mid-June I managed to sow a few trays of seeds and a few have germinated over the last week:
1) Penstemon speciosus
2) Campanula saxifraga ex Panayoti Kelaidis
3) Campanula saxifraga ssp aucheri
4) Calochortus venustus
5) Penstemon virens

I am in USDA zone 8b where temperatures almost never fall below 15F -9.4C.  Rainfall 50" 110 cm + but none  June-September.  We seldom get snow; but when it comes we get 30" overnight. Soil is sandy loam with a lot of humus.

Pulsatilla nuttalliana K= basic-neutral soil, some clay; S= more acidic soil, more sand. Let's see how the seedlings develop. nuttalliana is said to be very difficult to cultivate, but no one has been able to tell me what these difficulties are. Maybe I'll get lucky here?
