Another (better) Magnolia x wieseneri, a M. acuminata subchordata, and my all time favourite Magnolia wilsonii (nice fragrance, nice foliage too.)
We have a Pinus aristata in our front garden, I don't know if you remember it, Knud? I'm trying to think how old it must be now...probably planted some time around 1985. It is around 5m high and the spread of the branches at the base is almost my arm span, say around 1.5.
A superb x wieseneri Giles. Nothing beats it for the fragrance of the tropics and so hard to describe. Can you imagine one with a thousand flowers?johnw
For white bark you can't beat Betula jacquemontii, some forms are much better than others and this looks like a good one.johnw
