But there are lots of other spring flowering plants too. My only problem will be, how to identify the others from this Forum, especially Sophie Fish  ! Maybe TH is of some help.

Gerd, you will find me easy! I used to have a beard but not any more now!   :D :D :D :D
And I will not be there for snowdrops. There will be very good other things.
Lucky enough it is just over the border with Holland, only 3 hours driving, I hope... ::)  ::)

Maggi :

goat has to many bones - I'm shure we find better things for barbeque ;)

Goat has the same number of bones as sheep, except in Jamaican cuisine. :D I've eaten goat in Jamaica, Crete and Mexico.

Anthony, i thought that was just your head...... :-[

If it's cold tomorrow I'll wear my hat Maggi. ::)

In my childhood, goat was a regular meal.

As Mark said, Altamont was very very cold. I forgot my camera - black dog and neighbour in trouble put it out of my mind

Have just had an email from a friend.  He went to a small garden this week that was open for the Red Cross charity.  It was advertised in a local shop window as 'come and see the snowdrops in Judy's garden' (before you ask, it was not Janet of Judys Snowdrops!).

It sounds like it was a very small affair with lots of tea & homemade cake and discussion of snowdrop flowers.  The flowers had been picked and were in vases in the house (Judy was in her mid seventies and it was a cold day - she was very knowledgeable on the subject).  This 'vase' set up made it very easy for all visitors to get involved in the discussions and enjoy the scent without having to get sore knees and backs.

There were also galanthus bulbs for sale - 3 in a bag - £1.50 per bag!  My friend came away with 'Lady Elphinstone', 'Tiny' and 'Comet' - a bargain at 50 pence each bulb!
