Hello, a seedling of Muscari from 'Rosy Sunrise' has started to bloom here This plant is especially early among its sister seedlings in a pot. The seeds were from JJA Seeds and described on seedlist as below."From a new selection made by Augis Dambrauskas and considered to be the deepest pink muscari yet. Soft-pink buds open to deeper pink flowers. This selection has been derived from an undescribed species, allied to Muscari armeniacum, which occurs around Nalchik in the Russian republic of Kabardino-Balkaria (next to North Ossetia in the North Caucasus)."
A close relative of muscari is Bellevalia eigii from Jordan. The picture shows a close-up of the inflorescense.
