The clip is by  Olivia Newton-John, John Farnham and Anthony Warlow,  recorded in 1998.

This song, known as Australia's unofficial national anthem, was written for John Farnham many years ago, though it is known from the many cover versions that have been used in films etc over the intervening years.

English-born John Farnham has been in Australia for ever (!)
Anthony Warlow  began his careeer as an opera singer and  also is well -known for his stage musical performances.  I think the Aussies will know all three pretty well.

I just noticed that we need to wish a belated Happy Birthday for yesterday to both Fred (Bulbissime), Derek (Derekb) and Pat (Arillady).  A big Happy 60th Birthday to Pat as well, given such a milestone.  Althought Derek at 82 is pretty darn impressive as well!!  ;D

I also note that Jaime (ielaba2011) has his birthday today as well.

Happy Birthday!

Also forewarning at the 15th of this month in our wonderful moderator Maggi's Birthday, although I note that the state secret has been kept safely and there is no age attached.  :P
Cheers.

Paul, no secret, Maggi is 29.

Yes, I admitted as much, in conversation with the thirty year old Jim Shields, only the other day....

A very happy birthday Maggi for the 15th
It has been hectic before and after my birthday. Never to be in my 50s again. Hmmm. Anyway it was great to receive Maggi's lovely card and thank you for the birthday wishes.
My grandaughter Mackenzie has the same birthday but 45 years after mine. Here she is with a violet which might be Rosina according to Rob Peace.
