A great day out. I was on the bus from Aberdeen and everone seemed to have a very enjoyable day.

Thanks to everyone infront of and behind the scenes.

Here are some photos to give a flavour of the event.

Nice set of pics Graham. Was it cold up there today, they've all got their fleeces on. 14C here this afternoon.

David,
We drove down through rain then sleet and some of the fields had a little carpeting of snow, however it was fine inside the hall and I had a bowl of spicey parsnip soup there to warm me up.

David, please no talk about the English Riviera...I awoke to snow before heading up to Dunblane! We usually get a bright sharp day at Dunblane; not today, it was dreich.
Yemen, what a country ... Haraz mountains, Socotra, Sana'a, Hadramaut, the empty quarter.... a country of stunning, mind altering beauty...and the friendliest of people.

The dodgy weather could not dampen the spirits of the Aberdeen gang on our comfy coach.  Isobel McW. brought along a LARGE tin of chocs  which were shared around all through our journey....a very kind thought of Isobel and much appreciated by the munching crowd.

Will try a pic or two....

Talks at the EBD were by Brian Duncan in the morning and Peter Erskine in the afternoon.
There were other visitors from "Norn Iron" in the form of June D and Kay, but I only spotted them from afar I didn't get a chat.
I did however, meet Richards Hobbs who had been talking at the Snowdrop Day on Friday at the RBGE - he didn't think he'd be here today but had mis-read his plant ticket and isn't off home till tomorrow so he was off  back to Cambo... wondering what the weather was going to be. It was good to meet one of the folks the galanthophiles are always speaking about - a charming fellow.

Sue Gill and Christine B came...... Brenda and Alan Newton.... they all  "let the train take the strain".... Don and Linda Peace.... but they came by car so I hope they had a safe journey home, though the weather wasn't too bad by then ( well not going north  :-X)
