 This plant comes from those bred by Forumist Maureen Wilson and her late husband Brian. Kevock have quite a few of their plants I believe.

The Wilsons have long been regarded as the Gesneriad specialists in Soctland... with their plants travelling all over the UK- and probably beyond!

I am really sorry to learn that Brian is no longer with us. He sent me a rooted leaf of it some years ago and it changed into a tiny rosette and survived my winter cold but it never got any real roots. I find that some species from climate that is very different from mine simply go dormant. Among others, Cymbidium goeringii and Lilium amoenum do that. They survive outside but refuse to grow new roots.

Tony! I am eternally grateful to you. I am very ashamed to ask you, since I only himself to blame for the death of my Tremacron. I received an interesting hybrid of Corallodiscus lanuginosus x Ramonda m. I can send you this spring seedling. Photos can be viewed in the "Chinese Gesneriads."

Göte, I turned to the Kevock Gardens. They refused to sell the plant and sent to Russia. I also wrote a letter to Mrs. Maureen Wilson. She kindly answered, but said that the collection no longer has the Gesneriaceae. I know that these species of plants conditionally Hardy.  I need Briggsia to create a fully hardy hybrids with yellow and orange flowers.

Hi Alex,
The easiest way to obtain seeds of Briggsia is by becoming a member of the Scottish Rock Garden Society. Nearly every year they have Briggsia seeds in their seed list.
Maybe there is still some left. I got some plants from an Austrian friend, but it isn't sure whether it is muscicola or aurantiaca (if there is any difference between both species). Maybe I can send you a few leaves next summer.
I didn’t collect seeds of my Tremacron plants last years.

 I will try to become a member of the Scottish Rock Garden Society. But I'm not confident of success, because I have big problems with the English language. I find it difficult to understand the questionnaires. Thank you very much as if we can send Briggsia. You mean in 2013? I am not too important   species Briggsia because I will use for hybridization. I am very pleased that you responded.
