Helleborus ID
« on: February 27, 2011, 01:51:26 PM »
Hi all plantsmen and plantswomen. Yesterday I take pictures in the wild but I am unable to ID this Helleborus. I walked in the Appennini, Italy, nearer to Mare Adriatico then Mar Ligure. Anyone can help me?
Thank you.

It looks like it doesn't fit the natural spreading area of viridis, nor bocconei.

Ciao Alberto, perhaps you found an outlying, so far unknown location of Helleborus liguricus??

Sei certo che gli ellebori hanno letto i libri e rispettare questi ?  ;D

Alberto this link might be useful. Not yet flowered my liguricus so no point of reference to advise but with the adult foliage not yet showing yet I suppose it could be almost anything even multifidus (bocconei) or viridis ssp viridis  :-\
