Otto, with your excellent gambling reviews site I am very  hopeful of the Iris  thriving for you.  Harold Esslemont was still sowing Fritillaria seed at  nearly 90, so you are but a youngster!   

Such a beautiful iris. Is there anyway to get this iris in the UK?

I germinated 2 seeds of I. stocksii this year . Maybe I will be fortunate to live long enough to see it in flower ? Hopeful at 78 .
