It's only a simple cataract operation, but I dread the thought of someone (no matter how competent) slicing into my eye!!!   

I am at the conference from Thursday but may have to imitate a pirate with a patch over my eye and a parrot on my shoulder.  LOL.

Yes, Best wishes Cliff. I had it done in September and never looked back - sorry about that. It isn't as bad as you think it will be, only takes 20 minutes.  A nurse will hold your hand throughout the procedure and before you can say "I've had enough of this", it's all over and yo have to let go of the friendly hand. - I am looking forward to having my other one done, the outcome is really worth it.

I hope everything has gone extra well Cliff. My own experience is that with any "procedure" I've had so far, the thoughts beforehand are always worse than the event itself. Though no-one's messed about with my eyes yet. But friends who have had cataracts removed have said it was miraculous, the change from blurriness and half sight, back to clarity. Shame to have missed a pub lunch though.
