Hey Dimitri, fantastic pics, fantastic plants, fantastic Galanthus species. Now I know: the galanthus season ends only with flowers in Kiev, and the east border of friendly galanthophile is the Ukraine( until now). I believe in your country is the east end of G nivalis and the west end of the species, coming from the caucasus???I never saw G. koenenianus with basal mark. But this year I found in collections plants with a basal mark too. Is this a unusual sign of only this year? Oh, I had a lot of questions to your pics. But at first I enjoy these wonderful pics.
Dmitri - A superb collection of fine species and selections. How cold & hot does it get in your area?johnw

Gosh Dmitri. I must had already moved into my summer forum mode by April! Very nice flowers Dmitri. Are the yellow forms proven over a few years or could they possibly have been due to lack of sunlight for one season? My kind regardsJohn
What type of climate would suit Galanthus trojanus?
I must get some more of these Mediterranean species. I'm sure they must be grown here in New Zealand, so will keep my ears and eyes open. I have some seeds of a couple of species sown earlier, so am hopeful?
I think it will be a long time before we see trojanus, not least because it will have to be assessed.
Dmitri will just have to troy and get it to increase Brian.
