Well spotted Shelagh, Ellie really enjoyed serving customers which made her realise the need to do maths at school and i thoroughly enjoyed her company. She bought lots of plants from the other attending nurseries, arranged for tea and scones to be brought to our sales tables and ordered herself a SRGC fleece. Not bad for a 7 year old.

Not bad at all, Rob! She is likely to be a great member of your Show Team for a long time..... I remember how many sales Cheryl Jermyn used to achieve for Edrom when she was little.....made loads more than her Mum and Dad... had all the gen about how and where to plant things, too. Never underestimate the skills of a junior partner!

And the lesson about the need for maths no doubt well learned. When related to taking of money from people, maths seems an excellent idea. I'm always pleased and gratedful I took Latin at school. It makes my present garden/nursery life a lot easier.

Is there a chance to let me know something about the origin of the violet in the fourth pic and how it is labelled?

Gerd, The violet is in the display of the Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh, so I will ask Elspeth or John next week,  if someone else hasn't got a note  of it.

I have asked her, and she is willing to help, if it is possible to have plant lists of the RBGE displays to put on the Forum with the photos of the displays.So  that is something I'll be working on with Elspeth in due course.

 Elspeth has sent the list of plants fron the RBGE display.... here it is and I repeat Stan's photo of part of the display below.
If anyone has a picture of the full display then I'd be pleased to receive it and add it here.
