It was a very long wait for flowers on quinquefolium. I asked Wada when mine would flower and he said "corky bark, corky bark". As predicted when the bark got corky the flower bud set.  Only one that first year.

The cross between Rh edgewothii and dendrocharis called 'Plover' has survived the last two very cold winters well but did not flower this spring .
