Superb pics, beautiful places - thank you Cliff!
By the way: do you always mark sites which you intend to visit again with a blue spray, as seen in pic 1?

Hi Cliff, and everybody!
Well, you can fool me, but I wasn't think about the screen resolution. Some years ago (I had problems with my eyes) I fixed the res. to 1024x768, and it was perfect for me (otherwise the letters were too minor). Now I tryed it with 1152x864, and it is perfect for your pics, Cliff. And now I have reading glasses too, so I can read the text also  ;D ;D
Sorry for the convulsion I have made.

I don't know why, the Cypripediums did never touch me. But the pics are great, as always, especially the "Cyp in sunlight"  :)

Kathrine, that looks like Scots would have solved the problem of bad eyes, oops, sorry I'm Dutch. :P  ;D

For Luit mainly....but you might all enjoy these.....

Cliff, you are keeping me from the street today.
I have to read the text loud, but cannot understand everything.
However there is very much to laugh. I printed it and read it again and again!
Everytime I find something out... it's really good humour! :)   :)

But if you (and others too) would try this one on You Tube, you will understand better
what our problems are with the language.
It's from Comedy Factory. Try john Fealy, "zakje". It was taken in Holland but with dutch titles below.

Now I'll try to have a look at your pictures
greetings

Just been there Maggi,

Another great collection from Cliff. This series has been a wonderful presentation, surely one of the highlights of the site. Cliff certainly has a great eye for a photograph. It certainly is not that he uses the ultimate in equipment, in fact a very modest, by present day standards, digital camera. In contrast, I have recently purchased quite a high-end camera and find I cannot capture images of the quality Cliff has displayed in multitude. I suppose the fact that I have visited the Dolomites makes me appreciate his photographs especially as he has captured the essence of the area so very well. It really is like being back there again.

Well done Cliff, a most wonderful presentation - Jaysus, I'm tired of saying this. You have entertained and thrilled us with this series over the past few weeks and it has become impossible to match the compliment to the quality of the photography. I'm giving up now.

Aw shucks.....many thanks Maggi and Paddy....still more to follow, but I don't want to be guilty of 'over' overkill.  The problem with the Dolomites is that there is a new and even more tempting image behind every blade of grass.....

Many thanks to our hard-working administrators for posting the photo series.

I'm just pleased to have my dodgy ticker and aging legs saved the trouble of all that walking, Cliff :-[
Not to mention the money I'm saving... I imagine that many others less stingy than I will be using your efforts as a taster for a visit, rather than a replacement! ::)

Just back from 'Land of Coral and Dreams'!

Again : Creme de la creme

Couldn't resist the December part as well! I hope I remember what I've learned of taking pictures.
We both thank you, Sir!

The final frontier......can you even hear the cheers in Australia Mr. Tyerman?

Just three batches of Gallery Fifteen (two lots of forty and one of twenty) left to post (though the very observant among you may still be waiting for Gallery's Five and Six....fear not, these are to be posted in due course by the SRGC as further articles in the 'Monthly Feature' section on the main site).
I hastily apologise for any that may seem to be 'repeat' images, there have certainly been some that were taken within seconds of several others, but hopefully I haven't posted any actual repeats?
There are many images still on file that may be added in months/years to come, but this is the final Gallery to be submitted to what already is a very lengthy topic.
I hope I have saved some of the best until the very last batch (i.e. the final twenty), but, of course, these things are very much in the eye of the beholder.
You have conferred some very nice comments on this series and I hope that one or two of you may have been encouraged to visit these magnificent mountains for yourselves?

Anyway, on with the show......
