Katherine we were there during first week in July. The pictures of Erictrichium  nanum were in fact taken on July 2. These were not far from the photos you show but up on the ridge behind the photographer. The last picture was taken only 100 metres from where it was growing

Surprisingly enough, Chough, I mean, CLIFF, I DID spot the chough, sitting there on his  cliff, I mean pinnacle.... but this may have been because a friend showed me a similar shot with a golden eagle the other day, so I have my distant bird spotting eye tuned in!

Wonderful photos!
Bindelweg is a very interesting area with different rocks (limestone, volcanic rock,...) and fabulous Gentiana in different colours!

Yes, I see. We were blind, maybe. Next time I will open all my eyes. :o :o :o

Your "Doronicum Bindelweg" is D. clusii in my opinion.
Here it is, but not from the Dolomites:

I've seen that, Cliff, there are wonderful pics and lovely (and to me also familiar) places.
Thanks!
And I'm waiting for the "development" of your website also  ;)

Hello!
Ian I saw your photos just now and I have to say they are really beatiful, but I'm not sure about the second (red) "Orchis" (page 2). I believe it's Nigritella (rhelicanii?). Can anyone confirm that this is Nigritella?
