Cliff, after working outside today and a little tired, I opened the website just in time to see your beautiful, again !!, pictures. I do like it very much when you show some people, trying to make the most beautiful picture ever. Looking at these pics. I feel really at home!
But there are still some questions open( see quote)??
Thanks again.

Cliff, no gossip at all (untill now, but you never know. :-X ), there seem to be an aunt Petunia in Harry Potter.
I heard my grandson some time ago talking about her with his friend. She seemed to be very cruel to Harry, her nephew.
My problem was that I could not follow you why you would change your name???

By the way, you showed in gall. 12. nr. 26 a Phyteuma, but did you know the dutch or german name?

Maggi.....it has just struck me that any surfers, lurkers or 'newbies' to alpine gardening might be misled by the general title of this entire posting, in so much as they may misinterpret 'Dolomites from early July' to mean the actual flowering season of all the plants depicted?
Would it be better perhaps to amend the wording?

Yours sincerely,
Damned Nuisance

My dear Luit,
Thanks once again for your very kind comments.  I was only joking (as is my general nature), when I suggested a name change to Petunia so that it would coincide with my possible relegation to the 'bedding plant' forum (also mentioned in the same posting)....I had no knowledge of characters in Harry Potter (being one of the only humans in existence who has seen neither film or written word about the errant bespectacled schoolboy).  In deference to your fine mailings I will henceforth revert back to Ranunculus.....

...And, in response to Mr Nicholson from Devon....I will see you in court....imagine the slur....shopping at TESCO'S!!!!!

Nice words, Cliff. You are not the only, I'm with you! Ijust heard children talk about it and I am a good listener,
I hope.

Apology accepted David ..... an understandable error!   Tesco is at least two miles further on.

(By the way, please don't let 'she who MUST be obeyed' hear this conversation....she believes I'm allergic to shop assistants, supermarket trolleys AND plastic carrier bags).

That's wizard Luit!

Dear DN of Whitworth,
This is the old "Dolomites from early July" topic renamed as simply... The Dolomites, to accomodate photos from other seasons etc.
Best Wishes,
St. Margaret of Craigton
