The whitish central mark on the foliage of T. ichangense var. minus from Crûg Farm might be only that variety or form they have (?)

I received this as Thaictrum ichangense.  But it has now been identified as T. koreanum, because it is both tuberous and rhizomatous.  (Thanks Aaron F.!)  Even when young, the leaves have no such markings.  It is really quite a forgiving plant for me.  In my earlier and more ignorant years as a gardener, I had it growing in full sun in a dry garden, and even there it survived for many years, although just barely.   But as you would expect, it does best in part shade or shade with ample moisture.

These little thalictrums are all gorgeous.
Probably the main reason why lots of people aren't growing them is because they can't get their hands on any.
I would grow them all if I could.

That's probably VERY true!

I think that may well be the case,  also... these can be variable I believe.
