You know, I'd be prepared to bet serious money that the "average" person does not get half as much fun from sharing their holiday photos as the Forumists do..... what fun it is, great plants, scenery and humour....add a glass of something and some chocs.... a perfect evening!

Thanks Johnnie for opening this topic, I will join in but am having a little problem downloading my pictures from a new 8gb SDHC card which isn't being recognised by my (ancient by computer buffs - at least 5 years old) card reader.

One of my earliest pictures was taken inside the Hotel Butterfly which was our base.  Wonderful staff, wonderful food, good information and lovely local Valais wines, what more could you ask.  Thought our international forumists might like this one.

Shelagh,
I think know what Gordon Ramsay would say to this - just can't print it here! ;D
I hope you get the rest of your pics processed soon!

It's OK Maggi.
If you look really carefully you can still see them - half way up the Matterhorn! :o  J.

Don't tempt me, or I'll put Martin up there on the klettersteig  ::)

Excellent idea. I seem to be suffering from an iron deficiency

Well I have downloaded some pics.  I'm very disappointed with my pics from this holiday, my camera seems to have everything in focus bbut the flower in the middle. Its a Canon Power Shot SX10IS with a macro facitlity and anti shake but it didn't seem to make any difference.

If my pictures are not named or half named it's cos my botanical knowledge doesn't stretch that far, feel free to name or challenge any names.

First 10 taken up on Sunnegga on the first morning.  The funicular inside the mountain is terrific but rather scary.

I know number 9 is a poor example but it was the first one we saw up there.

A few more pictures from our first day up at 'Sunnegga paradis' which was a wonderful place for one of Johnnie D's famous static walks.

Last posting from Sunnegga.  Some plants, the single crocus was found by Clare. The children having fun on the lake I took just to give the British Health and Safety fanatics a heart attack. Some ART ??? and the bakery sign just because it made me laugh and I snapped it for my grandchildren.
