SRGC Seed Exchange 2011-2012 List No. 65
« Reply #15 on: January 08, 2012, 08:05:31 AM »
Hi Folks

A quick note from the seedies; we have now started the seed distribution, the first 150 donors got their seed posted last night after the Edinburgh heroes spent their first day at the seed-face.  Back again this morning for day two.....

All seems well so far this year; few queries in terms of orders so hope all continues to go well.

The only thing to add is that the Japanese hepaticas went like hot cakes, or snow off a dyke as we say here, so only our best donors will have been lucky enough to receive a few seeds each, as we always work the system of supplying our best donors first.

Off to the weekend job now, feeling seedy somehow!

Ian Bainbridge - seed distribution mannie

Ian B asks me to add that :

If any member wants to see how we do the seed  distribution, and wants to give us a hand at Suntrap, they can e-mail us for details of how and when to join us on bainbridi@aol.com; we'll be there every weekend in January.

A progress report from those busy Seedy Folks -

They have now picked all the main orders and will be working through the surplus next weekend.
The remaining main orders will be mailed after checking by the end of this week.

"Hope everyone's now receiving their seed, and best wishes from the seedy team!"

Friends, the Seed  Distribution Team have now completed their task.  Exhausted Seed Pickers are lying in darkened rooms all over the Edinburgh area, and even beyond, sipping sweet tea and muttering numbers like demented code breakers.

The last orders will  be into the postal system this week.... apart from a handful of those orders still awaiting the arrival of the USA seed import permits.

The Seedy Guys (and Gals!) are now going to have a break so please do not make any enquiries about your seed orders until after the 18th February, to give them a rest.
