Asphodeline lutea seeds
« on: August 16, 2011, 07:05:29 AM »
I'm harvesting the seeds from my Asphodeline and wondered if anyone has any advice as to how best to go about germinating them?

Thanks in advance.

They grow up at 16 - 18 ° in one to three months in well drained mix. Use small pots because they don't like having their roots disturbed and just barely cover them  ;)

I planted the seeds in April in a row in the garden and they came up in May. Whatever method you choose, it doesn't seem they need a cold treatment. The seedlings and adult plants are hardy in my zone 7 garden.

Thanks chaps!
Mother plant seems quite happy to spread, but I would like a couple of good sized clumps elsewhere too!
