It certainly is Lesley.  Ron is well known and loved by all of us.  He's given talks on his various expeditions over the years and has some very professional slides.  I especially like his accounts of trips to the Himalayas, but I know he's been many, many more places than that.

Well he's been here too of course, a few years ago now, same occasion as Kit Grey-Wilson, an NZAGS Study Weekend. Great speakers both and stunning photos, as expected.

Thanks Maggi .... just a few more bits of information to add.

3/4 September this is a very large event taking place at Hans Kramers nursery, De Hessenhof near Ede in central Holland to celebrate their 35th year in business. Fourteen other nurseries will attend inluding Pottertons and Lamberton Nursery AND a number of lectures are organised including one by Harry Jans. Visit their web site for full information http://www.hessenhof.nl/

10/11 September is Lamberton Nursery weekend event - Peter Korn's lecture will start at 2.00pm on the Saturday afternoon in the Lamberton Village hall which is about 100 yards further up the road past Ron's nursery. Peter's talk will be an update of recent developments in his garden, free entrance, ALL WELCOME.

17/18 September is Pottertons Nursery Open Weekend, this year a special event to celebrate our 40th year in business; Peter Korn will present a talk detailing the development of his botanical garden and plants he grows, the talk is free, tickets can be pre-ordered or turn up on the day. The venue is Nettleton Village Hall close to the junction of B1205 and A46. At the nursery we will have a display of photographs that cover all 40 years and of course lots of bulbs and plants to offer. Ron & Susan McBeath will also attend.

I believe Peter is also due to give a talk to an AGS group somewhere in the south west England area 14/15 September - does someone have the details??

Cliff preferably South  ;D

Graham.  I was thinking about going, but that's me I just seem to think about doing things but never get around to doing it and then I am annoyed that I missed out. Going to the discussion weekend  :D

Glad to see you back on the forum. Hope Graham doesn't mind me saying but he had to say goodbye to his beloved Dexter, we have all seen Grahams picture of his dog. Graham pm to tell me that he had to say his goodbye to his companion. I know exactly how he was feeling. It's the worst part of having a pet, when you have to say your goodbyes it's so hard.  Dexter was a lucky dog living with such a lovely family.
Hope you don't mind me telling all your friends Graham.
