While several people wants to save the grower's $$$$$ I wonder why the potential victims/customers' interest is not equally valid.

Of course the potential cutomers' interest is equally valid.... but it is surely not helpful to bandy names about when there is no absolute certainty  as to exactly where the problem arose ?
As ever when a problem of any kind is discovered with a purchased item, the first course of action must be to report it to the seller.
