My "Dear Snowdrop Lover" letter of invitation to the Galanthus Gala arrived today.  It does not have far to come as Monksilver Nursery is just the other side of Cambridge.
Almost in Scotland.

It might help to send a cheque with one's letter.  From memory, Gala tickets were £26, lunch was £10 and admission to The Garden House was £6.
Almost in Scotland.

My letter came today! Isn't that quick? But I will not be there this year. :-\
Hopefully next year if it is not to far from London. But I am looking forward to all your photos and comments. :D

Is that so terrible, David?  Nurserymen aren't generally found amongst the wealthier members of our society.  If one of them can organise a snowdrop "bash" and make some money from it, well good for them I say.

Or was that irony again and you wanted to point out what a bargain price it is?

As a nurseryman I have to agree! But I haven't made it to one of the Gala's yet because I am afraid of all of the elbows!!
