Finally

Gala ticket arrives in the post ... but, unusually, without the sales list that normally accompanies it.

Nor the map referred to, only written instructions.

The silly thing is that the only possible excuse for being so late in sending out the tickets was a delay in finalising the sales list.

Did you get a map, Chas ... anybody?

Alan,  if you or anyone else is coming to mine on Sunday it would be VERY well worth using the directions which can be found on the ngs.org.uk site, or my own garden website.  Or satnav EX19 8PP and follow parking signs.

If anyone gets into the village of Dolton you're done for, there's no mobile signal and we're about a mile and a half away on the Winkleigh side, that is east    :)

Hmm, so where Joe Sharman's instructions say "Find the junction on the B3217 which crosses the A3124" I should find this junction but continue past it on the A3124 (heading south east away from Great Torrington) then and look for a right turn some way down the road?

Exactly Alan  ;D ;D

The right turn has a brown tourist sign that points you to the fisheries.  I expect we'll put up some signs too  ::)

My tickets for the Gala arrived here today with the description how to find the gardens. Now I only have to take the plane on Tuesday, hire a car and drive all the way down to deepest Devon ...

Hello Jo, I'll come and see your garden on Sunday after the Gala. I just had a look on your website and it looks like paradise!

Since the absence of a sales list from Joe Sharman was remarked upon earlier in this thread, I thought I should mention that mine arrived in the post today.  Since "orders received after 7th February will not be accepted" there is a tight deadline should you wish to order something.
