« on: November 28, 2011, 11:22:39 PM »
Syringodea: 7 species in South Africa, direct cousins of Eurasian crocuses (diverging 12 mi. y. or so) and looking remarkably similar.

Romulea: 95 species in Africa, Mediterranean area, Canari Islands, direct cousins of [crocuses+syringodea]'s ancestor (diverging 18 mi. y, or so).

Are you cultivating these species and what is you experience and observations ?
