John, there certainly is a considerable difference between the ovaries of our 'Three Ships'.

The markings are quite similar though it seems to me that your flower seems longer than mine.

Paddy - No question the differences. I have just viewed many of the pix posted on the forum and there is considerable variance in ovaries and the compression of the markings. Mark's looks closest to mine. However there is considerable variance amongst shots from the same forumists in different years!

That's the one, a near match to mine except the upper part of the marking in yours has a flatter top. The ovary here  - see my 00014     - is rounder.

No.  "Quiet in the peanut gallery!" was the intent.  My translator says now in reverse translation - Tranquility in the theater's highest balcony.

First 'Shed's and Outhouses' - with a bit more green on the outers and less green on the inners than John's. It is the first season here and a bit late - it should be much earlier when established. A clump of it must be spectacular!

Take a close look at the flowers of Three Ships that Luit posted from Lisse.  Note the differing waistlines of the markings from pinched, narrow to almost non-existant.

At last some decent rain here on the Bedfordshire/Buckinghamshire border. Managed to get the mid-December roll call finished before the rain. 47% of my galanthus varieties are now showing. The comparable figure this time last year was 46%, so the climatic changes people have commented on seem to have had very little overall effect.

There is a clear delay in appearance for those varieties I dug up in the summer and replanted in lattice pots - an average of three weeks delay caused by that disturbance. The early signs are that this major exercise has had the desired effect on eradicating disease, and the lighter compost used in the lattice pots is going to make easier the pre-emptive treatment against narcissus fly in the Spring.

Hoping to be able to settle the timing of the planned Open Day over the New Year period when I can predict what is likely to be in flower. Maybe Santa will bring me a crystal ball.

Can someone help with identification please

First 2 photos I believe are 'Three Ships', although the label is 'Not Three Ships'.  I do have both and think I may have used wrong label.

Last 3 photos show a mystery plant - I have no idea where it came from - the label merely identifies it as a snowdrop.

Arthur, I'd keep an eye on the plicatus with green striping on the outers, labelling it in the meantime with a question mark over the green outers, to see if it stays constant. Hopefully it will be, but I've had a few plicatus seedlings (and other species) show green on the outers just the once and then never again.

I have done as you suggested, whilst keeping fingers crossed.

There are 2 other bulbs in the pot - I will report if they show the same markings.
