Yes, the stop/start weather is a real pest for the plants... I was, rather selfishly, I know..... thinking of the people when hoping for "decent" weather.... I don't like rain!

Maggi

I am with you.

I have fond memories of childhood when it only seemed to rain at night  :)

I must try to make time to take some quick pics of some of my early flowering seedlings that I've been selecting out over the last two or three weeks.

Will try to make time between mad pre-holiday work stuff and madder last-minute Christmas shopping. Nothing hugely exciting, but they're all early and nice enough.

Please do find the time Martin.

I am sure we are all willing to help wrap your last minute presents if that will help with your workload.    :)

'Fieldgate Prelude' opened two flowers... which promptly got chomped on by a slug.

There's another showing colour but my nose and eyes are streaming too much with a cold to allow me to read the label when I bend down  :(

I bought two pots with 3 bulbs in each of Galanthus elwesii, in a local garden centre two years ago.  This was the first to flower - in February then and last year but it is flowering now this season.  They didn't get moved out of the original peaty type compost till this autumn.  Although it is small this year, this seems the most robust, which is a bonus as it is the one I like best.
