About 20ºC and a lot of sun today - perfect conditions to take some pics.
First two different G. cilicicus, a few G. elwesii monostictus and finally last G.r-o. 'Anmarie Kee'.

Lovely set of snowdrops, Hans.

Your G. e. m. 4 seems to have a split marking, somewhat in the style of 'Deerslot', an interesting  marking.

Yes they are indeed lovely snowdrops Hans and I think your monostictus No 4 is better looking than 'Deerslot' which can be a disappointment.

Thanks a lot for the comments - I hope you enjoy the snowdrops with a bit of sunshine.
Those beautiful snowdrops are mainly plants selected by generous friends - for a few it is their first season here - hope they will like it and bulk up a bit in the next few years.

Mmmm,  G.e.m.4  looks tasty, or is it just a sprig of rosemary that's making me hungry.  I love the green marked G.r-o

The season is really early here in Devon, so I think that it won't be the year to name any 'early' snowdrops, cos if next year is like last year the names may sound silly

Thanks Jo, here season is later than normal.
Some more drops from the south.
First 'Shed's and Outhouses' - with a bit more green on the outers and less green on the inners than John's. It is the first season here and a bit late - it should be much earlier when established. A clump of it must be spectacular!
Two seedlings i like, first because of of a lot of green on the inners, second because of the huge flowers (again with rosmary ).

Edit: I was informed the snowdrop on the picture is not 'Sheds and Outhouses' but the Cultivar 'Smaragdsplitter',  not bad either.

Can someone help with identification please

First 2 photos I believe are 'Three Ships', although the label is 'Not Three Ships'.  I do have both and think I may have used wrong label.

Last 3 photos show a mystery plant - I have no idea where it came from - the label merely identifies it as a snowdrop.

Arthur, a plicatus with outer stripes or tips is not a daily/usual/ordinary plant. You must have an intensive galanthophile friend. I mean there is no comment in the bible.

I always note the friend who gives me a snowdrop, so this pot is a mystery.

I hope the other 2 bulbs produce the same markings.

Arthur - Three Ships here has a flatter-topped ovary, otherwise markings  - from what I can see - look close.

I can confirm that the last three are certainly snowdrops - and excellent ones.

Here is a photograph of G. 'Three Ships' from my garden yesterday for comparision.

Difficult to compare from photographs but I think it is 'Not Three Ships'.

I like it a lot - the flowers have lasted well into two weeks.

Paddy - I guess the ovary is no help in identifying Galanthus!  Notice how the markings on my 'Three Ships' are more elongated than on yours. 

'Three Ships' is just getting ready to open here. G. reginae-olgae 'Cambridge' still flowering in the garden.
