Visiting Scotland

Does any of the forumists have any information about Edroms nurseries. I have tried to contact them to place an order to collect on my visit in Scottland the first week of october, but have gotten no response on my e-mail. Other suggestions for woodland plant nurseries?

I will travel with friends, and have been forced to limit myself to ONE nursery only (but I plan to negotiate this as we go). One the bright side I am permitted a whole day in the RBG, Edinburgh, as they go shopping.

Yes, I believe I will, Maggi! I hadn't realised till you mentioned it.
It would be great to see many of you there. Of the scottish forumist I have only met BD so far, but then he is of cource hard core material
And then of course I know Geir and Göte, but as scandinavians they are more like neighbors.

Will discuss holyday programme with my friends and see what I can do.

Staale,  If you are going to Edrom, Lamberton is just down the A1 from there, only a half hour away.  You should try to visit Ron McBeath at that nursery too, he has some wonderful alpines and a real enthusiast.

I remember saying "crikey" maybe 40 years ago but I seem to have moved on to what Staale might term more "hard core" words.

My message to Edrom was sent mid august. Surely they haven't enjoyed your parts of the country that much, Anne?

I'll try and give Lamberton a go too. I have browsed their catalog of  course, and they are now officially my plan B. I am still working on a plan to "incidentally" stop at a nursery or two more on the way, but that need to be our little secret. I'm so looking forward to the visit at RBG!

Ståle, I have been in contact with Terry Hunt at Edrom and he tells me he has replied to you but will check and send it again....he is puzzled! You should really make every effort to visit both Edrom and Lamberton.... I would, given the chance!
