With quite a surprise we have had two days of bright weather here too! Good weather for lifting the leaves to make lovely compost!
Fine Koi - but can they cannot be outside all winter, can they ?My friend Angie will like to see these - she has some beautiful Koi.
Really do like them Maggi. Zvone I tried for many years to keep koi outside but failed miserably. They were never happy. My pond was about 4ft deep. I now keep my koi in a depth of 6ft in a polytunnel and I also heat the water. Now my next challenge is to grow water lilies as beautiful as you have, Been trying to do this for twenty years and haven't had much success and time will soon be running out . Can you tell me how deep your water is and how long a period of winter weather that you have.Really nice pictures of your garden and its plants.Angie
Thanks for the information on your pond and your climate. I think keeping koi in good health is all to do with water conditions and what a bonus having running water through your pond this will keep your koi very happy. I love the snowy picture of your pond. I would love to show this picture to my koi club members if that was all right with you. You have a spectacular home and garden. Here is a picture of my Mr Big, he is a greedy koi as you can see Angie
Lovely pictures, Zvone. Thank you. We've not had a proper frost here yet and a few tender things are still flowering but they don't look great.
