Erika, that is SO TRUE!
And should be taken as good advice to those people who say they have had enough of birthdays and do not bother with such things any more - that is as foolish as not taking pleasure in one's friends !

Three cheers for Erika for  speaking the Clue of the Week!  Hurrah!

Hi Folks, after a long absence from the Forum Otto 'suggested' that I post a picture of the birthday cake I made for my ex-wife's 50th surprise party. Ange is also a very keen horticulturalist and this was supposed to look like a Criss Canning still life. And yes, there is a big white chocolate mud cake in there.

I am also taking this opportunity to let everyone know that I have moved from Australia to Cambridge. In doing so, I now have a small inner-city garden as well as Kenloch back in Oz. I am very much looking forward to trying my hand at English gardening and hopefully you will be able to suggest specialist nurseries for me to go a 'hunting'. Now that I am a local I might even be lucky enough to meet a few of you.

Welcome to the UK Tim (not that Cambridge reflects the real UK[whatever real might be]) hope you have a happy stay.

Crikey, Tim, that's not so much a cake, more an installation! Superb way to mark Ange's birthday - I hope she'll enjoy another 50 such celebrations.

How exciting that you are now in the UK - we'll be expecting you to visit as many of us here as possible. You are assured of the warmest of welcomes here in Aberdeen any time you like!

Cheers!

Tim , do enjoy your two years in England and try to go to as many as possible AGS and SRGC shows and meet their keen gardeners in their gardens . When visiting Ian and Maggi in Aberdeen ,please give Maggi a big hug and kiss from me

As we left Angie's Birthday Party early we did not get a chance to try the mudcake inside your beautyful creation .
