Jo, Alan and John - thanks for the explanation of 'inverse poculiform'.  I fully understand now although I do think the name is confusing and indicates long inners and short outers!  Something along the lines of 'reflective group' would be less confusing ?

Gerard, like the name tells: it is not always perfect,

Wouldn't that just be inverse Jennie?  If it is poculiform then it should have roughly equal lengths for the inners and outers so if this was inverse they would still be roughly equal length

Wonderful crisp cold (-2) sunlit day at Waterperry Gardens in Oxfordshire. Lots of pots of healthy Ophelia, S Arnott, Magnet, and others for sale, but just one plant per pot and £4-99 each. Not sure if it was the cold or the price made my eyes water.

To be frank, if they are healthy and true to name, I'd think a fiver was worth it. Might seem a lot for one bulb.... but given   the horror stories around the 'drop scene, I'd think I'd rather be safe than sorry!
Easy enough to get rubbish for diddly squat in some places... and rubbish for a king's ransom in others....
