Maggi,

I am heartbroken that you are not hanging on my every last written word. But, having come to terms with it now, here is a copy of what I wrote earlier so you can read of the Scotsman I met today.

"Also met a very nice man from Scotland, Alex Copland, from Peebles (is that right?). He it is who supplies snowdrops to Cambo Estate for their mail order business, snowdrops in the green etc. He had with him, which he brought in to show me, a beautiful pot of G. nivalis Sandersii ex Lowick. His father it was who found the original three bulbs and from this original finding all have been propagated. He had a very attractive  poculiform snowdrop, not sure of its parentage, and a twin-flowered G. 'Magnet' which he very kindly gave me. He says it has been stable for him so I live in hope. He told me he knew our own Ian of the Christie kind very well, done business over many years. Of course, this Ian will be visiting us shortly and speaking in Cork; looking forward to that."

Mark, I didn't see June Blake; did see her brother, Jimi.

Lina, nice article in Gardens Illustrated - I am even mentioned, fame at last.

Golly, when I get to Tabor next year I hope I recognise Maggi and Angie or I might go the whole Conference without saying a word to them! ??? :o

That looked like a really good day out Michael. I saw some super hats there and nice things to eat and buy. I recognised one man though. I guess he is international. And he (or she) is instantly known from the point of view of the Small(!) nurseryperson. Stands well back from the sales table with tightly folded arms. You just KNOW there will be no exchange of plants and money from that person.

About 20 inches / 50cm. Anne Wright was with me when it was found. It's her photo. Terrible hair! Me not Anne.

Amazing!!  Have you grown seedlings from it to see whether the gene is passed on?  If so, you could start producing your own super sized version in different forms. 8)
Cheers.
